C300 Quick Video Test
So I haven't washed my car since the last time I started a thread about how dirty some of our cars are. I finally washed it this morning and decided to get out the Go Pro HD and the Fat Gecko Mount. Did a quick drive around and put the footage together. Tried to do something different than the typical cabin footage we see.
Done using Windows 7 Move Maker. 720p at 30 fps, at 4X speed. Song is called Deep Knee Bends by Battlehooch.
Hope you like it. You can view it at this vimeo link...

BTW, a lot of strange looks from people who saw the camera mount. A lot of pointing.

Thank you very much! For the Fat Gecko single mount, it will be $30 to $50 but they can sometimes be hard to fine. For the Go Pro HD, you're looking at about $300 but it comes with a whole bunch of different mounts you can use. I used the Fat Gecko because there's no need to actually stick anything to the car. It's all suction based.

The first shot is mounted on the left front quarter panel behind the wheel with the arm pointing towards the sky. The second shot is mounted at the base of the glass on the left meeting thr trunk and the arm facing out to the left. It is extremely stable. I did a bit of slower speed driving to test it out at first. I also mounted it on the left side of the car so I could peer down and look for the camera if it fell off. Normally, people tether the camera. It's extremely stable and the suction works awesome. Just make sure the surfaces are clean and you check how much curvature there is in the sheet metal.
