Add garage door opener mirror after the fact
If i can get a hold of a mirror with the homelink buttons and autodimming is it plug and play on my 2010 C300 that was built without it? It was handy on our other car and i found a mirror for 325.00.
By the way as you can tell i am new to the forum but have already enjoyed the knowledge base that is here so thanks in advance.

I think homelink needs programming, especially with rolling code nowadays. By "plug and play", do you mean no programming?

I believe you can. Just find a way to rout power wires and program it. Think of it as a garage door opener hand control unit which is now assembled in the rear view mirror. function is the same but it's much better physically integrated.
