I was in vietnam for vacation last winter and I clearly remember the C300 being introduced as the C300 AMG. It was on billboards and the license plate said C300 AMG. I'm pretty sure its because in smaller countries like Vietnam mostly small engine models are offered. I even remember being confused and hopping on Mb vietnam's site and it was introducing it as the C300 AMG. Whether it had the badge from factory or not I don't remember. I only real AMGs I saw there were two S63 AMGs rolling around Ho Chi Minh City going like 5mph.

Edit: and to confirm, I just check mb vietnam's site right now and they now offer the real deal C63 AMG sedan. However, if you look at the E-class section of the site, they do not offer an E63 AMG. The highest trim for the E-class is an E300 AMG. I think the reasoning behind this is that they are slowly broadening their market in vietnam by getting people hyped about AMG models, but I really think they're confusing the hell out of people too.
