Sidemarker NOT going back in
I hope I get some good responses for this because I know half the people here have changed them out lol. Help would be muchh appreciated as I hate driving with masking tape on my car covering the side-marker...![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
Ok so I replaced the sidemarker with a smoked unit. When trying to reassemble it, I can feel the bottom hooks and loops engaging, but the tab on the top wont go all the way in.
I thought it might be aftermarket ****ty fitment...but the stock unit is running into the same block. It almost feels like there's too much in-between the two halves.
Reallly could use some help as I work when the service dept is open. This "10min" job has turned into days.
Once I get this sorted out ill post pics of my whip. So far I've gotten 35% tints, laminx heads and fogs, tinted middle strip on tails, and blacked out fog housing.

I tried wiggling. Everything lines up, and the tab goes into the slot..just not all the way. No amount of pressure does anything. This is with both the stock and aftermarket lamps. Its almost like something shifted and came down behind the body, making it too think to "sandwich".

I had the same issue with mine, make sure the back piece is clicked into place and not wiggling around before you clip the front actual marker into it.

What does the back piece click into? I thought the front marker attaching to the back piece (plus the screw) was all that held them together. That what it felt like to me taking them apart.

If I remember right you have to put the top in first then the bottom just snaps in. The screws are not really needed. Didn't have them on my '08 and didn't reinstall them on my '11

I had a service adviser help me out today. It even took him a while..he said the tolerances are different on every car, in addition to they put these lights in the bumper in the factory before it goes on the car. But now shes lookin gooood
Thanks for the help! Also picked up some Euroteck lowering springs today (I think they're re-tuned Eibachs..anyone know?). Can't wait to put those on.

Mine were a bit*h to get back in place. I eventually became pissed and got a little rough with it. But hey, it decided to cooperate.
