Please help. Can't unlock
Hello,
For some reason I can't unlock my c300 2010 with the remote. When I press unlock the red light on the remote flashes but the car does not unlock or lock. This happens with both keys and I'm scared to leave it unlocked. I used the metal key fob but this is not ok.
Can anyone suggest a solution or diagnoses to this problem. Thanks.

That is how my problem started. Here's the threads if you want to skim through them but my car not unlocking was one of my first issues. Then it turned to not starting and I thought it was the key at first but found out it was a more serious issue.

Coincidentally, one of my keys is acting up now, resulting in a failure to begin the startup sequence about half the time. Since the other key works normally after a two week substitution, I will likely be getting a warranty replacement soon. My factory warranty expires in October so I have just purchased an extended warranty at no small expense.
