2012 C Class on MBUSA

The 2012 C300 4MATIC Luxury and Sport Sedans are now online. MSRP increased to $38,020 for sport and $38,430 for luxury. The C250 and C63 are not there yet and neither are the coupe versions.

When I saw the new prices I was sticker shocked. But quickly realized the package prices have reduced in costs. P1 is about 2700 and no P2 package at all. MM package is 2500. Basically base models are costing more. I am suprised seeing as BMW 3series have pretty much stayed the same price year over year. This is about a 6k increase from 2010 model year.

I noticed the C350 is gone at least its not on the MBUSA.com site that I could find... Now a GLK is cheaper....

damn these things are getting expensive , I also noticed there's no more c350... on the site at least. oh nevermind after reading in the performance window on the site they mention the c350 having 302hp.

I thought there was also going to be a C250 or something, correct? Haven't seen that in the lineup either.. I wonder whether the webpage update happened prematurely or if they plan to roll them out a couple trims/models at a time?

There is going to be a C250 sedan and coupe. I have a PDF of the entire dealer ordering guide for the coupe. The C250 is what I'm looking forward to the most. Especially with the coupe.

Yeah, the prices of the c300 have increased a bit more on sticker, because the c250 has taken its spot. Sounds like B.S. to me, but w/e. I already have my car... lol. But what is odd is that it says starting at 34,xxx on the overall page, but when you click on it the c250 isn't up there and the lowest price is 38,xxx. Seems like it hasn't fully updated yet to allow you to build the c250.

On a side note, it appears the c-class now gets the "HOLD" feature. Which is very cool. Somewhat similar to the hill-assist feature, but the car will hold itself on any surface now, even flat. I had this in my new 2011 e-class, and miss it on my 2009 c-class. You enable it by giving a quick, yet firm, tap on the brakes when you are stopped. And the car will hold itself until you press the gas pedal - flat or inclined.

It says:
Starting at $34,800*

with the footnote further down:
* Excludes all options, taxes, title, registration, $875 transportation charge, and dealer prep fee.

not true, a 335i coupe's base price has risen nearly $4k in the past 3 years and includes less standard equipment. Anyways I'm loving the new brown interior option. I always hated how bmw was the only car brand you could get cool interior colors in cheaper models.

Am i the only one who liked the pop-up navi screen more then the new integrated one? I know its far more practical to have the fixed screen system but there is just something about pressing a button and the system rising out of the dash that just makes me a bit giddy.....

I like it a lot too, both for the *drumroll, rollout* effect, and because when it's closed, nobody knows that I've got a NAVI in there.. less likely to have car broken into because someone saw the head unit and wants to rip it out.

2009 C300 4Matic
Although the base did increase quite a bit, I "built" a similar 2012 version of my 2009 C300 4Matic out of curiosity and it ended up only being a few hundred $$ more than the MSRP on my car (just over $45k). With that said, there are some pretty sweet upgrades to this car that I wish my vehicle came with from the factory with the MM package (e.g. rear view camera). With all the new options available I just might be trading in sooner than I was expecting

All things considered, I think I'll hold on the "upgrade" until the second MY of the W205. Wait a year and let the kinks get ironed out.

If I had an '09 I would too. But my wife needs a car right now so at least she's getting the new interior and engine and a car that will be in its 5th year so maybe the bugs are all out. I'd prefer a little better styling, but it's the best car out there IMO in that size.

2012 C350 Coupe (on order)
Is the dynamic handling package available on the sedan? (I know you can get it on the coupe.) Or do they normally not show special-order options on the mbusa website?

I can confirm that the dynamic handling package is available on the C350 sedan. I'm not sure if it is available on the 250 or 300.

Yes, the base price has gone up, but more features are now standard (unlike in the past).
