2009 c300 alarm/starter system
hey guys i am new to this and had a question i own a 2009 c300 sport 4matic. I purchased the viper 5901v alarm/starter system and was curious of how hard it would be to install. i dont mind paying for it to be done i just want to know if it is possible because i brought it to a local installer and he said its not possible that it would be to hard to bypass the computer is this true? and if i fond someone who can do it is it too risky meaning is there chance of my car having problems later or should i just buy one from mercedes dealership? thanks.

the car already has an alarm, so Im assuming ur trying to use the remote start right? Its a huge pain to do so in all german/luxury cars, your best bet is to return that, and check out midcityengineering.com or search for remote start here and do some reading/research. lots of guys have done them, u need something specifically for MB, not a generic viper unit

Thanks guys I found one on the website it's a transmitter I guess costing roughly $ 700.00 and it plugs into the factory harness so there no cutting or splicing which is a good thing. I might just go with that because it also uses your original key fob u just press the panic button once to start the engine then again to shut it off. Thanks
