You'll get tons of light scatter with LED in halogen reflectors and will really look like crap imo. That's why we discontinued the project. If you don't want to go HIDs, just go with whiter halogen bulbs like Philips Diamond Visions.

What if you painted the inside of the halogen reflector black? You'd lose the true functionality of the fog lights but you'd kill the scatter and might get a cool LED look.

Yeah, if you get rid of the reflector then it'd basically be just a city light and you'd lose all throw distance fog functionality. Never tried opening up the fog housing, but pretty sure you'd have to bake it open like the headlights.

I have the Phillips now but they produce to much heat which is causing my LaminX to burn and turn brown. That's why I'm looking at the LEDs as they produce less heat. I'm open to suggestions.
I see there's a new generation of leds that come with a big heatsink and what look like ballasts. Any experience with those?
Or an alternative to LaminX that doesn't burn and can withstand the heat from the Phillips bulbs.

The ones you linked look to be just LED bulbs. Won't be plug and play. You'll need to splice in load resistors.

There are units with the driver you describe that should work, but space is the issue with those hulking units. Often you won't be able to seal the fog due to how much real estate those things take which introduces a host of potential issues with condensation/water and road debris/dust.

We do have a kit now with plasma LEDs paired with Morimoto Load resistors:

I am using CREE on the fog lights. This is the model, and it is equiped with CANBUS. No flickering or errors in the dashboard. Here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-HID-W...item3398250df9 you can find the current model, and here is a picture how it looks.

P.S. There is not light ahead with LED as it was with the halogen lapms.
