hey age aint nothing but a number, at 18 I bought my c350 (brand new in 2008) and got my MRI and nuclear-med tech licensing, and now at 21 im entering med school, I tip my hat to you sir, congrats to your accomplishments.

We are, but sometimes we discuss things indirectly related to the cars we love e.g. our age, how we paid for them and a little about the actual person behind our screen names. It's a community after all. Take the original poster for instance - he took the initiative for open discussion.

This is the reason why i hate posting shiett on this forum. Everyone has to hate on everyone here. Its not my fault u cant afford the car, really its not. Ur just jealous that an 18 year old kid is driving around in a brand new c63 coupe and u still in a c300 or c350. And i dont have to explain my finical situation to you at all. So the best thing for all the HATERS to do is just sit here and just hate cuz thats all you guys can do. FUKKK THE HATERS!!!

Take a breath...relax...it doesn't matter. Some of what has gone on is jealousy, some is just pulling your chain. But, if you get this upset about it, you just empower the people who challenged you.

A good bit of this probably was avoidable. Here's where I think the group was first "aroused"....

The "haha" with your age was probably a little more "in your face" than some were willing to silently accept. Before this, I had no idea how old you were, and it didn't matter. Making your age known this way opened up the entire issue.

Here's where the door was really opened to a lot of challenge. Perhaps simply answering, "I don't wish to discuss my finances. I am just enjoying the car." would have averted many of the posts which followed. We can all respect privacy on finances if we know you want privacy, but this made it seem an open topic for all.

Just trying to help avoid a repeat next time. Enjoy your car and best wishes as you enter college. No matter how you got it, you are indeed one lucky young man.

A) If you don't want hate comments don't write that you're only 18. B) when I was 18 my brand new BMW was in my name alone and I certainly didn't foot the bill C) You car isn't first out of 4 because my dealer alone has 2 cars and they wouldn't only make 2 others nationwide :P
