Exhaust Question

Hey guys, ive looked around a little bit but i havent found much info that helped me any... I like the exhaust sound on my C350 but i dont want to buy the C63 AMG exhaust and put it on mine because i think it would be pricey and wouldnt sound as good on a V6 compared to a V8... I was basically wanting to make my stock exhaust a little louder.. I remember from when i had a G35 the way to make a stock exhaust louder is put "test pipes" on it. Is that what you guys call them on these cars or is there another term for it? Does anyone have any other tips for making a factory exhaust louder on a C350? I seem to like the sound that it puts out but i have to be in the upper RPM range to be able to hear it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Search for "X-pipe"

You can replace your stock resonator with a Magnaflow X-pipe. You won't notice much difference in sound with normal cruising speed but it will make your exhaust sound louder when you hit the 3,500-4,000 rpm mark. The X-pipe costs around $80 and installation should be no more than $100.

I would start with secondary cat delete (cut out rear cats, replace with piping). If you still want more sound then either delete the muffler and/or replace primary cats with high flow cats or delete the primaries. Hope this helped.

Cool I'll look into that X-Pipe idea.
