Burn marks on Lamin-X Films
As everyone knows, if you have the original fog lights on your W204, you MUST have the Lamin-X film to keep them from cracking. Well after three years the film held up and kept my fogs from getting cracked during normal driving conditions, but I did notice they started to turn brown in the center from burn marks.
Lamin-X does have a 5 year warranty so I contacted them and they were willing to ship me a replacement set after I send them some pictures and provide them with the original order number from 3 years ago. Thanks to Gmail all my emails were stored away so I was able to recover that order number. If anyone else is experiencing the same issue, try contacting Lamin-X to get your warranty replacements.

That's one issue that happens if you have the lamin-x and regular H7 bulbs in the fog lights. The H7 bulbs do get hot which is why I opted out for 35W HID bulbs and its been holding up fine for quite some time now.

I was also thinking about doing H7 LED bulbs too, has anyone tried that out?

I had the same problems with my yellow films on my fogs so i sent them pictures and they sent me new replacements.

LED or HID will solve it but from
what I've heard, LED fogs look good in the day time. At night, the light tend to scatter everywhere. Just what I've heard though. Never actually seen them.

Same thing happened 2 months after I applied them, so I just threw them out.
Can someone send me a picture of their yellow fogs with the burn marks, since I never took shots of my own.
Never knew they were covered under warranty - I'll gladly take a free swap through Lamin X.

Wow I guess I am lucky, never had one crack in any of the foglights...
My windshield is an absolute POS though and looks sandblasted

I've gone through two fog light assemblies already. SUCKS.
My fault for not covering them I guess.
ITSLOONIE, do you have any pics of your fogs. Would like to see what yellow HID's look like.

Same here, mine are burnt, and I probably only drove with my fogs on twice in the last year. Will be claiming a warranty. Does the issue resolve with 35w HID's or do they eventually become burnt again?
Also, @ the comment about the windshield. This must be a manufacturing flaw or something. Because my windshield is terrible too. Little chips EVERYWHERE. I have never owned a car with so many chips in the glass before. Does everyone else have these issues?

Nice!
Not sure how I'd like the contrast when they turn on as puddle lights when I unlock though.

Yellow fogs look good on a black car. Also I think the Lamin-X will burn again if you keep the same H7 bulbs in there. It just burns too hot. I don't drive with my fogs on very often but I'm still thinking of going with LEDs

Just trying to do this without breaking anything but how did you guys remove the film on top of the fog light glass? Mine are more than 70% burnt and aren't exactly peeling off.
