2009 C300 optional tire sizes
To get somewhat away from these lowprofile stiff ride tires I would like to buy a new set of tires:
225 50 17
Or even possibly
225 55 17
Will these new sizes prevent the wheels from turning or doing anything else?
Does anyone use these tires sizes on a 2008-2011 c300 luxury 4-magic?

Consider same OD, narrower 205/55/16 91H taller sidewall tires, with 16x7 wheels that fit over front caliper.
16" rims that clear caliper --- Like This One:

Found a good deal on all season Pirelli's 225/45 ZR17 XL { P4 Zero Nero], 4 mounted , balanced with 10% Illinois tax for about $600.If I go with the 50 size it's almost $100 extra {so $700}.I think it was Discount Tires and I just missed some store rebates { buy 4 , get $100 back} , so I just might wait around.
I have some gift cards for Sears but anything around $600 with them is
off brand,summer only,etc.
I once purchased a set of brand new Dunlaps for one of my cars and the front end started shaking , even after the wheels were rotated. After spending some money , like for a front end alignment and nothing improved , I threatened the tire store with going to small claims ,after which they gave me a set of Goodyears and the shaking of the car went away.
I would buy the Michelins or maybe Goodyears but I have a budget for tires and it's not over $800.

Waiiiiiittttt.....You think 45 profile tires are "Low Profile"? hahaha
You should have gotten a SUV with 60 profile tires.
If you're going to bump it up to 55, you might as well try 70, because it'll ride like a marshmellow. All joking aside, no you should not run larger profile tires unless you plan on decreasing your rim diameter.
