4matic coilover
I've read through out this forum that states coilovers can not work for a 4matic. But recently I was talking to a buddy of mine who said they can. So, he recommended a brand to me. I googled the brand and found thesee

yeah that is pricey.. hmm.. i know H&R dont make it for 4matics.. but since their rwd springs work on 4matics maybe H&R coilovers will work on 4matics too.. again just a thought.

That's basically your only coilover option for w204 4matics to my knowledge unfortunately. This is due to the agility control active dampers on 4matics.

I dont think canadian version of 4matics have agility control.
I looked it up and it does say it has adaptive suspension... is that the same thing? lol

With the release of the 2008 C Class, Mercedes has been actively promoting the car's all-new suspension system with a term which sounds very much like marketing-speak to us: Agility Control. The problem is that some people are assuming that means the car has active dampers or adaptive suspension. Not so. The truth is that in as much as every modern shock absorber uses multi-stage, hydraulic valves that are sensitive to the velocity of the piston within that shock absorber, producing more resistance with faster piston movement, the C300 Sport has such an "active damper."

My next mod will be coilovers. I have wondered if the other brands will work but I am not willing to be the guinea pig. I will end up getting the one set that states they work with the 4matic.

To verify why other coilovers can not be used other than the v3 is because
"the reason only is v3s are avail for your car is bc of the awd
bc you have the fron driveline is what makes the shock have a different mounting location than the v1s for the rwd cars"

D2 doesn't make 4matics. And if your rubbing with the pro kit it's probably cause of poor offset choice. I'm tucking tire on both my front and rear on super sports soo

To the person above stating that they priced out an air suspension system for over 6k, you're getting bent over and railed HARD. As a mechanic and a builder, there is absolutely NO REASON to ever pay more than 3k for a bag system, and even 3k is steep.

Not really if you want customs struts and a great management system. Not everyone feels comfortably cutting and welding their struts
