Northern climate rust spray
What are your thoughts on having the W204 rust sprayed before winter. There are now many different formulas other than oil that they use. I would not under any circumstance let them drill holes in the car. Thinking of doing the underside and engine bay.

The sophisticated rust-proofing on the W204 should be sufficient for many, many years of protection in areas like Montreal with lots of snow and salting.
However, if there is a lot of gravel where you regularly drive, putting a tar-based undercoating around the wheel wells, under the door sills and under the trunk will protect damage to the factory coating. While you are at it, do the trunk in the spare tire well and under the trunk carpeting, plus around the rear quarters. This will make the Benz much quieter. The shop performing this work must absolutely cover and protect any suspension and brake parts.
