So I purchased my CPO 2009 C300 @ ~$27K miles. I had the A2 service message come up so I brought it in for service this past weekend. The service adviser checked the car's history and told me that the cars are serviced when they are certified (CPO) and that he didn't recognize some of the codes in the history and to call the dealership I purchased the car from to get more information about what was done to the car when it was certified.
He asked me to check with them first to see if I really needed service, and that he didn't want me to pay for one if it wasn't necessary. He also said that if it turns out they didn't service the car, I shouldn't have to pay for the service.
I just got a call today back from the dealership I purchased the car from and they told me that the original car owner had a B service on 10/27/10 which was around the time he traded it in (4 months before the car was certified). I was told that the service dept. decided not to service it but performed the "other certification procedures" and they certified the car.
My question is if the dealership should service the car for me at no charge, since they didn't do it when the car was certified. What do you guys think?
Also, how much do you guys pay for A2 service? I live in the bay area.
Thanks.

On my 2008 C300 it was just over $300
for Oil change and an air filter
I take it in until the warranty runs out, you can do both much much cheaper than at the dealer
