hi there! i bought a rear camera for my comand w204 system.
when i was installing it, i tried it several times and it worked perfectly!
i routed all the cables, installed the camera in the trunk lid, and once i finished, started the engine, and the camera image started shaking up and down.
i did some research, if you put the gearbox in R with the engine off, it runs great (battery arround 12v)
once you turn the car on, the camera still works fine, but when it reaches arround 14v, the image shakes.

to install the +-12v for the camera i did as it said on some posts of this this page, and took it from the reverse light from the passanger side.

can anybody help me what is wrong and how can i fix it?

It happened to my Kenwood camera too. But I fixed at the end. Pm me I send u more info

This can happen for a few reasons. If you bought a low quality camera it can happen. However, most often it is because the camera is wired to the reverse light. Never wire your camera to the reverse light. Simply wire the camera to a spare accessory port on the fuse box that turns on and off with the ignition (not constant power). You can use an add-a-fuse to do this. If you've spliced into the tail light wiring harness you risk having the dealer void the warranty on that part. The power going to the reverse light is not 'clean' and is most likely interfering with the camera.

My ebay purchased camera is a $5 cheap one. I used fuse 71 power for the accessory socket. Neve had any problem.
