2012 front bumper retrofit
The pictures on this thread are really promising for installing the the 2012 bumper on the 08-11, in fact I like the way it looks better than an actual 2012 it self. Its a shame the guy that did that project does speak fluent english so asking him questions was difficult.
Once the 2012 bumpers become more readily available, I think I am going to pursue this. Would anyone be able to tell me if they think in order to do this I would need to replace the impact absorption foam that fits the 2012 as well or could I reuse it 08 stuff?

i was wondering if the 2012 AMG fronts would fit. I think that would be even better.

Also you do need the foam going to a 11+ bumper it has a diff part number
Ill stick with my projector fogs that actually put out light, those LEDs do nothing but make it look like MB is copying audi.

It's all a matter of opinion. I'm not fond of the new facelift C-Classes. I just don't like how headlights are or the LEDs strips. I agree with Adidas with the fogs, but thats just me. To me, I don't like how it flows with the bumper. We all mod our cars to our own likings though. Kudos to the guy who did the conversion.

2008 to 2012 front retrofit
Ive been looking at those pictures of that guys 204 in Spain since this topic went up. $2400 later I finally retro fitted my 2008 for the 20012 front end bumper cover with the newer Drl's. The fitment of the headlights kinda sucks but I can live with it. Gotta list of part #'s if any body needs them. Putting up pics soon.

Ahhhh , you have a woody because it's new and different... for now... but I don't think it's worth the time and effort... nor the money... because it's not that different to warrant your time.
PS: Oh ya... as far as the impact foam is concerned, if your foam doesn't fit, just shave it 'till it does!

All the parts IMO can be changed I'm just not sure about the headlights because I've been told the plug for the light is different but I'm sure it's possible still. All I did was replace the bumper the reinforcements the foam and the led drls and the front part of the fender liner. It bolts on but there is a little gap between the headlight and bumper. I'm new to the forum so still trying to figure out how to post pics but there should be some in my garage if that's even allowed to be viewed. I also have all the part numbers if anyone needs them.

Thanks for your quick return
I think i will only upgrade my C220 to C63 body kit (FB SS RB with single exhaust hole and the grill).
Then in 1-2 yrs, i will upgrade to the facelift model
For the moment, it's to expansive !

Yea it is pretty expensive I was holding off doing for a while. But really needed a new front bumper anyway mine was trashed so I bit the bullet! Looks good though cant get enough compliments about it. Good luck with your mods.

You can either attach pictures or upload them to a picture site like imageshack and then use:

to embed the pictures within the thread.
Can you list the part#s and costs please?
thanks

Yea the fitment didn't bother me to much at first but it's starting to now. If I can't close the gap I'm just gonna buy the new style headlights and the hood And retro fit them in.
