2011 w204 full exterior facelift conversion for 2007 onwards doctor help needed
Hi guys I have been working on my car for a few weeks now so far
i have changed all parts necessary to look like a 2011 amg bonnet bumper front and rear exhausts tail lights (plug and play) front headlights drls front grill (smaller by 1cm) costing £5000 approx so far wish i never started the conversion now My electrician is having problems getting the side light and indicator to work on the headlight units they are xenons also eveything purchased from mercedes so far and now the headlights are my issue can anyone advise my electrician on how to get these 2011 headlights to work on my 2009 w204? |
is this the US 2012 MY you're talking about converting to?
Sorry - no good advice, just curious |
I really dont know the answer for sure, but my best guess for getting the 2012 LED turn signals to work on the pre face lift w204 would be that they need programming from the Benz dealer.

The rear SAM must be reprogrammed, for the hundredth time. It takes more than an electrician.

I do know that if you have halogen lights in any w204 and u retrofit w xenons the car must be reprogrammed w a STAR or developer software to recode them otherwise you will get error messages. The best way for you to have done this (maybe u can return the xenons) is to use the new halogens and use a HID kit. The big problem is not just getting them to work, which is pretty easy actually, its getting no errors which is the true battle. Any decent electrician for cars can rewire basically anything and have it work. |
Bad move..
You could have Bought a amg model with the extra 5k :

I think his mods are light compared to this guys c200 CGI.
