I really dont know the answer for sure, but my best guess for getting the 2012 LED turn signals to work on the pre face lift w204 would be that they need programming from the Benz dealer.

I do know that if you have halogen lights in any w204 and u retrofit w xenons the car must be reprogrammed w a STAR or developer software to recode them otherwise you will get error messages. The best way for you to have done this (maybe u can return the xenons) is to use the new halogens and use a HID kit. The big problem is not just getting them to work, which is pretty easy actually, its getting no errors which is the true battle. Any decent electrician for cars can rewire basically anything and have it work.
