I may even consider doing this to my car.
How's the quality and fit of the knob? Does it feel solid? How easy was the installation?

I just got around to installing mine (carbon fiber version). I've attached two pics: One with the shifter in park and the other in drive.
Overall, it does look pretty good. However, under closer inspection one can see several flaws such as the carbon fiber "cover" not sitting flush with the actual shifter. From the bottom, you can also see the slit for the cover which I found awkward to look at when I first took it out the box.
As for the feel...well it feels like $90
Shifting up & down and side to side it does feel light and in a sense more "delicate" than the stock shift knob. When you grip it tight, intially there is that plastic cracking noise--most likely its from the fact that the carbon fiber cover is attached to the actual shifter by two screws beneath the end facing the dash.
For now though it was a nice little project and a decent substitute until I find something else!
