I just got the Gominigo license place bracket for my 2012 C350. I installed it without any problems, but the entire assembly sits much closer to the front bumper than I expected.

Even with the ~1/2" spacer installed to extend the main bolt, the right side of the frame itself sits less than 2mm from the bumper. The screws holding the bottom of the license plate also sit dangerously close, but I plan on removing them as the top screws are more than sufficient.

I just wanted to get an idea of how much space other Gominigo owners have between their bumpers and brackets. Is the distance the same as mine (~2mm) or greater? If greater, are you using your bracket on a pre-2012 model? I'm guessing the front bumper on the 2012s may sit further from the tow hook screw mount than the pre-2012 refresh models.

After I made my initial post, I made a few modifications which gave me a little more space. I added two washers onto the main bolt, which provided another 2mm or so. I also moved the bracket up. It sits a little higher up on the bumper than I would like, but it keeps the license plate further away from the bumper.

Here is a photo showing the space between the bracket and the bumper after my modifications:



I feel comfortable with the space as it is now, but I am still curious to know how it compares to other installs.
