It was an ok install, but get an "error" message from using my iPhone 4. It worked for a bit and it stopped after a while :-/ maybe I need a specific "iPod"

Finally figured it out somehow my iPhone 4 won't work on there so I bought a itouch and it instantly worked!!

Maybe there is a firmware update needed somewhere? I use my iPhone 4 with a 2008 C350. They threw in the ipod kit with my purchase last month. Works and charges fine.
