Service Schedule

Ok Hi guys first post..

My C class 220 CDI (2008) went in for some body work to a mercedes dealer for about a week.. Now when it went in the ASSYST said that service A was due in around 14000 miles. Now it has come out the ASSYST says that service B3 is due in 295 days.. why would this change? Is it normal? and should i be worried!!

Thanks for your help in advance and I have more questions to follow (only had the car a month)

Rob

Rob, I would say that the dealers mechanic has inadvertently cancelled a few services.

It is certainly not normal to change so quickly & I would contact them asap for an explanation & to have it put right if needed.

Take a look in your service book to see what servicing has been done over the years & you should then know which A & B service is due next.

How many K's has the car done. ?

You are spot on , 40,000 km.

My service book says A Service every 25,000 km ( 15,600 miles )or 12 months.

B Service every 50,000 km ( 31,000 miles) or 2 years.

So being a 2008 you should have had 3 A services & 1 B service ( 2010) & the second B service ie B2 in 2012.

Are you enjoying the diesel?

Well oddly when i got in the car tonight its back to sating b service in 12000 miles (I'm guessing it said b not a before the work was done) so not sure why its lost the b3 service now?

I love the car.. its such a nice drive my car before was a golf which i still have but the merc just blows it away!

Good to hear.

I enjoy mine also.

Love the economy, ride, handling, torque, drivability & the way the engine matches the auto gearbox. Its a great all round package lacking nought.

Not that I have noticed. I rarely use cruise control so will check tomorrow.

The Rev Counter is dead steady when driving without cruise.
