My First Mercedes
#30
Hi all this is my first post. Just picked up my new merc after a 5 month wait from when i orderd it. Definately worth the wait.
2011 C250 CDI
Palladium silver with black leather and black ash trim
AMG sports pack
Reversing camera
Panoramic glass roof
Comfort package
Vision Pack
Lane keeping pack
I went a bit overboard with all the options but i guess when you order a car from new you may aswell have it the way you want it.

2011 C250 CDI
from 57litres of diesel (what was missing from tank)
594km and 8.7l/100km
The figures wern't too good as that includes probly 2 hours worth of ideling as i was still trying to work out all the features etc. Hopefully the next tank will be much better.
Also if someone can help me. As this was the first time i had to refuel i had i few issues. Basically when i took off the filler cap there is some kind of plastic restrictive device were the the filler nozzel should sit so as the diametre of the diesel pump is quite large i had to hold the pump without being able to put the pump in the chamber were it should sit. Not only did i have to fill it very slowly but when eventually full it overflowed as the pump didnt stop in time. What is this plastic thing for can i take it out or does it have a perpose. Does anyone else have this sort of problem?
Cheers in advance.

Golf 6 Diesel
There are hi-flow diesel pumps that truckies normally use.
They will still allow you to fill your car, but the fill rate will be very slow, as you can't get the pump into your car properly.
The other side of the same diesel bowser should have a normal flow pump to use for cars.
The plastic restrictor is probably there to stop you accidentally filling with Unleaded. Diesel pumps are different sizes than for Unleaded.
All of the above has been the case with my current model diesel Golf.

Anyone care to show me a photo? I think mine is different!! It feels like it's all 1 piece and doesn't come out, which is really silly. Maybe I'm just crazy?

I will upload a pic of the ash tray area as soon as i get a chance. Mine doesn't have an ash tray just a power socket and small storage tray.

C250 CDi Estate
Nice car Daniel.
Looks like we bought from the same dealer
I have put my opinions down in another thread about the 250 cdi but I wouldn't called the ride "rough", if anything its very smooth. I guess its all about perspective I cam from an BMW E92 Coupe with 19" wheels.
Love to hear what you think about the engine/gearbox etc.
I have to say I'm eyeing off a C63, but my problem is that its not really an image I want to portray to clients when I visit them.
