Led (eyebrow) staying lit
Has anyone seen this issue? I've searched but didn't see anything matching this problem specifically.
Basically my eyebrow led is staying lit even when car is off. One bulb, and it's dimmer than weekend vehicle is on. Strange, I know. This has been day 2 since I've noticed it. I attached some crappy night shots for a better idea of what's going on.
Vehicle is completely off doors locked.
Same pic just with crappy flash
Now here's when I unlocked the doors the LEDs are on and full power
Why would that one bulb be staying lit?

You should check your light switch. There's a mode where only one side stays on, a lot of ppl mistakenly switch this setting as its usually all the way to the end other side of full off. If that's not the problems then you might have a short somewhere.

Thank u. I'll double check. I normally have it set to "A" for the auto feature. I may have mistakenly changed it. I doubt it but it's worth a try.

Is there a way for me to check that? Sorry I'm a total novice when it comes to cars I usuall have someone fix/install/check everything for me.
While I wait for a reply I'll search the forum for an answer also. Thank u for your reply.

Mine is doing the same thing. I swapped it out with another, and it still does the same thing. It does not matter if the switch is on A or O. It eventually turns off.

OP, does the light stay on for a while or does it eventually go out after a few mins? If it goes out, then it could be residual power taking some time to dissipate. Still an issue, but with the LED/board itself. If it stays on "permanently", then you need to find out why that socket is getting powered all the time, even after the car is turned off.
Easiest thing to do is to pull the LED and break out the DVM to confirm...
jlb, sounds like you have a prob w/ the LEDs themselves. Swap in halogens and see if the prob goes away or whether you have a slight glow. Or, just stick a meter on it as well...

@invain I have it set to "A" never touch or switch it
@ doanster I've found out it eventually goes out after a while. Not too sure how long as I haven't stayed to watch but it's not normal delay time like 2-5 it's way longer. Thanks for the replies.

go into your dash menu and go to lighting and turn off surround lights or something of that nature, then lock your car and see if you still have this problem. If not then what you're describing is normal. If it still happens then yes, you have an electrical issue. Report back.

this happened to me so many times, I just replace it with another led bulb and it's ok for awhile until it does it again. I had it on both sides. I got so sick of it I just went back to stock bulbs.

@ knightmare I will right before I purchase new LEDS.
@ jaeguyoon at least it's not just me. If I end up paying too much in LEDs too often I'll probably resort back also. But I love the way they look

Truth be told I find this chassis to have electrical gremlins similar to that of Audi back in the days. However I also realized I never questioned where you got your leds from as not all smd based led bulbs are made the same. Def try your halogens bulbs and see what the result is, if you end up getting new leds try getting them from our vendors as it'll be easier to troubleshoot/replace in the future.
