16" Wheels/Tires for Rough Roads
I just switched from 17" to 16" on another car, and the transformation was amazing for rough roads ... smoother and quieter.
The biggest change was entering my driveway on an angle. There is a concrete trough, between sidewalk and street, for funneling rain water down the street. Before, the car would pitch side to side roughly with noise. Now with 16's, each sidewall acts independently, smoothing out the bumps ... no noise, little sway.
16" wheels on C300
The 225x50 series on an a 7.5" rim would work well, with near oem offset.
Note that 16" wheels with 205 tires is now standard for the 2012 C250 V6 in Canada, and 16" was standard for MB, Audi, and BMW in the early 90's & late 80's.
C250, Select "equipment" to see oem 16" Wheels
Not recomended for pepe's that drive hard, or just worry about looks.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
