I need to get a trailer hitch for mine so that I can attach my bike rack. Not sure how nice a hitch will look on this car...

Hello and congrats on your upcoming benz. I did a pretty solid research on Hitches, different brands and apart from one that is manufacture supposedly hidden and it cost about $800, the rest of them you will see a noticeable metal part which for me doesn't look nice. I almost went for a new bike rack called seasucker ( Google it) but the fact that every time I go mountain biking I need to remove them and carry out a bottle of batter to clean surface prior installation did not convinced me. I went to UHAUL they tried to make a costumed hitch but at the end due to the bumper design you will always notice a big metal part coming from the rear bumper. If you dont mind seen in it i will go with the hitch but I can't wait to get mine, hopefully it arrives tomorrow at the dealership. Here is a picture of how it will look like. ( 2 parts the rook metal parts (with mercedes logos) and 1 bike rack with mercedes logos)

Being that the car has the roof rack hooks by default (I assume, being that the cars at the lot I saw all had them) a bike rack for the roof is the way to go. I guess for the cost of getting a hitch I could just as easily buy a roof mounted bike rack as well. Just seems like a waste for me to have two different carriers but that's an option..
Enjoy your new accessory!

I just order a bike rack also. I looked at the OEM one from Mercedes but they sit too high!
Was thinking about getting the Thule roof rack but came across another set that was universal and was really easy to put on.

If any one is interested, I have a Thule rack for sale. Specific to the C class mounts, with 2 bike mounts. I sold my c class but still have the rack. I will be happy to reply to PM's.

The reason I chose the Yakima is cause its more low profile to the car. It doesn't look like you're trying to build a skyscraper on top of your car like the Thule or even higher version from Merc, which is manufactured by Thule. Yakima since have introduced a even more low-profile version since I've bought this... I believe its a Whispering Eye!
But it fits great, rock solid! Tested tried and true, I stand behind it with my DH bikes and my snowboards. I've owned it since for about 4 years now and it still is a great rack.

LOL awesome! The Seasucker! I saw one of these and thought it was a clever idea, but I wouldn't trust my bike to Fresno heat and the Sierra cool where I ride, plus elevation pressure up and down the mountains isn't a good thing for suction cups. But If you needed a quick park and ride, I wouldn't mind owning one of those.
