The top screen is the GPS/USB/Review camera screen. THe bottom one is the factory one, which control the CD/Radio and bluetooth.

It's really awesome to see that there's an alternative to having a COMAND APS-like replacement for the crappy Audio 20 for a fraction of the price of having retrofit an actual COMAND APS HU! Too bad in Malaysia the C200K only came with an Audio 20.

I do however have a couple of questions:

1) How hard is the re-installation of the original equipment? Except for the ashtray being removed, are there anything else that will be removed/damaged in the process? I ask this because in the near future if I wanted to sell of my car, I would like to have all the original equipment back.

2) Did you try any audio/sound system upgrades as well?

3) Do you know of anyone who tried out http://www.carstumfit.co.za/w204.html ?

Can you use the knob with the screen?

I just got a 2011 C300 with Nav+4 and want to get a bigger screen installed.

Hey Jason,

I looked into this a while ago as I had a 2010 C300 with the small screen. I actually purchased the system ST2288 had installed. The reason I went with the system ST2288 had was because the navigation is built into the screen. The item that is linked above has a separate nav-box. It is not a true all-in-one item. Before you purchase, make sure that you ask the vendor to send you a picture of all items included in the box. Most of those units in the link above (I suspect they are all the same product from a Chinese factory, as they all have the same specs and look exactly alike), show pictures of screen and make you think that's all that's needed to be swapped out, but in reality, they come with a the screen and a black box that needs to be screwed into the glove box or under the dash.

As I said, I purchased the system ST2288 has because everything was contained in the one screen unit. I ended up not installing it because I traded in my car for another C that has MM so now I have Nav and the big screen. However, I did retrofit the rear view camera that I purchased with the the system and that works fine. I also ordered the add on DTV Tuner and debating whether or not to install that.

The OEM Nav on the MM is kind of annoying. I constantly debate whether or not to swap out the OEM MM big screen with the system ST2288 has because it seems to have better GPS functions as well as the touch screen function. If/when I do do the swap, I'll post some pics.

Hey guys can u help me with out i have a coupleIm thinking of buying the Nat unit purchased it looks cool . Much better then the 5 inch screen. Inmost have a few questions.
Did u need the fakra style antenna for the unit to work. Also how does the ipod work on jt and also can u see songs ad artist on the touch screen. Also do k need a new shark fin antenna bc i believe with our cars have the audio 20 and not MM package the gaps wire isn't installed in the fin . !last question sorry. The usb port it comes is located where , behind unit and run cable .fo glovebox or that box u mentioned has the port for usb in it. Thanx for urge help.

This is pretty cool for people who got Audio 20 instead of COMAND, but I'd like to know more before I try it out.

st2288, can talk about the GPS and the software/graphical interface on your aftermarket device or maybe show us with a video? Also, how do you install the factory screen to the ash tray securely? And, is there any way to move all of the abilities of the factory screen to the new one and eliminate the need for it?

Just curious to why you need the screen at the ashtray? How does it fit in that spot?

Yes, you put the original screen where the ashtray goes. It serves it's original function, but is placed there. The package comes with a trip you use to fit the screen in place of the ashtray.

Why is the screen down there? I don't know. I pulled everything out and installed it for fitment, but did not actually connect wires and boot it up to use it. Then I traded my car in so I never actually tested it out. Fitment wise though, it'll fit and you'll just have to get used to having a screen down there. I never looked at the screen anyway as song names popped up in the speedometer. If you have Audio 20, the original screen doesn't do much anyway. But if you need to adjust sound settings and such, I suppose it still serves a function.

I did not see if the ashtray cover slides over the screen or not. I should have checked that.

is there any way to get rid of the original screen and the middle part of the console? specifically, can one install an aftermarket touch screen gps/multimedia center and remove the oem audio 20 unit completely
