Update on DRL for 2011+

I was driving today on a overcast day at 3p.m. and wouldn't you know it the DRL switched off and the lights came on. Give me a break Mercedes!!!!!!

I find it so hard to believe noone has come up with a solution to this yet. Where is the sensor for this? Can I just point a LED at it or something. These care look awesome with the DRL only on, but they turn off when easily there is a few more hours of daylight left, very annoying!!!!!!

its ridiculous, I was driving a few months ago when I had another 2011 behind me. I noticed mine kicked on w overcast and the guy behind me had his go too. I was like no ****, Im not the only one, I thought it was my car. I ended up rewiring mine bright all the time, Im much happier now, dont care about the lights anymore, Im gonna black out my eyelid bulbs and put them back in and get rid of the LEDs, and cover my eyebrows w vinyl or something, looks better w the fullpower LEDs without having eyebrows

kinda simple. Just run a 12v power lead to each LEd, I ran one from battery thats fused of course, and split it by passenger side LED, and to the second one. I cut off the existing LED power wire and use my 12v instead. I left everything intact including the ground. I get a bulb out warning once in a while, no bigge for me. I originally wired them w a relay system so they work w the factory lighting but the relay burned out every 2-3 weeks cause teh 4volts the car provides at dim operation wasnt enuff to keep the relay closed and it would start buzzing for a day or two and then blow. I just straight wired it for now. Im gonna test some resistors next weekend so I can eliminate the bulb out message that pops up every few days.....
