equalizer settings in engineering mode won't hold after power is off

Has anyone had problems with the equalizer settings in engineering mode not staying after the the car is off? My 2008 c350 Audio 20 does not hold the settings after turning the stereo off. It just had the "software update" and the ipod cable replaced by the dealer. This corrected the volume problem with the ipod but didn't help the EQ settings.

Did you click send on the bottom of each of the bands? I believe this is necessary.

yes, The service manager at our local dealer says that you have to set the system for each input and both keys. I'll try that and see if thats the issue. It may be just the ipod setting that does not stay.
