Installing iPod kit amplifier (A204 870 3994) in C300 (W204)
I Googled for ages on how to do this, but had to figure it out myself. Here are the instructions for those beating their heads against the wall:
1) Remove the passenger-side kick panel (black plastic panel under glove compartment) by removing 3 Torx screws. No other panel removal is necessary.
2) Locate little black box mounted to pillar (mounted to wall by passengers right foot) with ethernet-looking cable going into it.
3) Unplug this cable, and plug amplifier into it. Plug the dangling cable into amplifier.
4) Wrap the amplifier in supplied felt or Velcro it to pillar.
5) Re-install kick panel.
6) Enjoy awesome iPod sound.
This only takes about 10 minutes!

Can anyone confirm the W204 years this is applicable to? I installed this in my W203, and quite frankly the W204 is like my W203 before the install. Just not sure if it's the same solution as the head units are different.
I've seen other information about this but it was applicable to 2008-09 only.
