Yesterday I changed pads (front and rear). Surprisingly, I still had a lot of meat on all pads but was getting some grinding on hard and semi hard stops. I changes the pads (akebono) and I still have the grinding/rumbling noise.

I did notice that the rotors and old pads had a some grooves; think I need to change rotors to resolve the issue?
