im really torn in between getting these or not mostly due to the fact that the leds are 43k and might not match with the 5k set up im currently running but if i were to get in on the buy i would want to swap out to the 8k set if have laying around. any pics of what these look like with a 8k set up (low's eyebrow sidemarkers). also is 26 the price drop cutoff because i dint even think we would hit that mark...theres no 30 mark discount lol =D

yeah, sorry, no more price drop milestones. We're at the 26+ $305 which is a great accomplishment.I would like to get a few more though just to be safe in case someone who signed up all the sudden decides to not pay or changes their mind which screws everyone else.

I'm still on the fence. Just to confirm, if an LED burns out a year from now, the only way to replace it is to purchase a new headlight, right? The LEDs are non-replaceable?

Well, looking at the unit, the LED itself shouldn't "burn out" as the ballast is a separate from the strip so if anything, it'd be the LED ballast that goes which looks to be easily replaceable as it's external. Generally, I'm not concerned about LED units burning out when it's integrated housing type lighting as you can design safeguards built in. Like you're not worried about OEM LED tail lights burning out or front fog LED strip burning out as those have built in safeguards being a housing unit.

I'm not going to say 100%, but odds are highly it'll be the ballast that goes and not the LED unit itself from the way the unit is designed.

that is what it thought as well, but if you want them too look oem why not just keep the stock headlights

in the end its what ever you will be happy with, I'm more towards the black ones because i wanted to black out my headlights, and this gave me the opportunity to do that and add led's without modding my stock headlights.

Really easy because dust caps are rubber so just cut cross shape slits with scissors to feed through.

@ Mike (AZN) ~ Did Spyder specify what projectors they were upgrading to? Do you think that it'll be better than our OEM's?

@ kHuNkHuNa ~ Sorry man, I forgot to email those pics for your help with photoshopping the black housings. After seeing the other examples, I'm 90% sure I'm sticking with the black. I'm just 10% leery of the strict recon and safety check laws in Hawaii. The black housings are sweet, but not if they are going to cause headaches with the cops. We'll see...

No, they did not specify which projector they'll be using and I don't have my hands on them so can't compare to OEM, but OEM projectors aren't really all that great to begin with IMO.
