Need to get my Benz from Philly to San Diego. Any help would be appreciated. Oh also will my miles still register with front or back wheels on the ground? Just starting my research.
Thanks,
Scott

Since it's a 4-matic, you had better contact MBUSA for the answer about rotating the wheels on one end only. Does your manual say anything about towing limitations? Speed, distance etc?Originally Posted by Buckeye Fan #1

I know that you cannot tow for a long distance with the back wheels on the ground as it damages the auto tx.
You could always take out the tailshaft to prevent this happening.
Other possibilities are flat bedding on a semi trailer ( backloading is cheaper) or by rail?

Just get a trailer and get all four wheels off the ground. U-haul and Penske have them. No need to put all those miles on your tires and bearings and your transmission will thank you later.
