Need Urgent help!!!
Hi guys..
Ive got a real big problem at the moment.
Yesterday, I wanted have a look into the engineering mode to see what was in there.
I did not change any thing in there.
I havent started the car there after.
Tonight.. Im trying to start the car and it wont start the damn thing.
So i tried to reset the whole car..
Now its got a warning saying restraint not working, esp and bla bla not working.
refer to the manual..
What should I do? i cant find any thing in the manual!!

Nvm..
Finally got the car to start.
Seems like if you get into the engineering mode, you have to end it..
Other wise the command will continue running.
Which means that the battery will go flat.
Luckily I measured the batt and its not too flat. (7.4v seemed like)
After a jump start.. wala.. life it came on.
And because I resetted the thing, Ive lost all my saved phone numbers and addresses.
Damn..
Well.. Ive kept the car running for about 40mins so should be ok for now.

What is engineering mode, what does it even do, how would you go in it and why?
Also, a question about the phone book and stuff since you mention. Is there a way to directly have the phone book you have in the phone show up on the car, or do you have to add them into the car one by one? (which I will prolly never do, if that's the case).

Enter one by one.
As far as the engineering menu depending upon the options many things can be done. Do a search there have been many threads on it and almost all of the options are explained.

Yeh..
I wanted to get into the engineering mode to see if there was an option for me to activate the rear view camera if I ever decide to get one.
It was so unfortunate that I didn't realised that I had to end the session for the command system to turn off.
Yeh with the Phone address, its painful one by one process. I entered them all while waiting for the batt to charge with engine running yesterday as I needed to wait any ways. Also lost all GPS addresses.. Haihz..
Any way.. there is the answer to every one, if you reset the system in engineering mode, it will not kill the car like what that update option will do to your car. (If you dont have a proper DVD update for the car)
