Need Help with tpms!

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum!
I was wondering if any of you can help me and tell me if i bought the right tpms for my c300. I bought this ones from ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...#ht_1550wt_957

And i know My car is not on the model list but i've been readin in this forum and a guy said that any 433hz tpms would do the work so I went ahead and bought them.
Thanks in advance.

those are the right ones, they come in the 08-09 models. The only thing u have to worry about is the batterys are good. I prefer to find the 10-11 model, they are grey, this way you know they are only 2-3 years old tops. Supposed battery life is 5-6 years max, I am running a set that were from my 08 I bought new and they are still good

I bought these as well. I have not put the summer rims on the car yet though so I do not know if they work.

Thanks jmmy. The thing is that I already bought them but I supose that the batteries are good since they sell them as new items, but then again I might be wrong. Oh and jimmy are you a 100% positive that this ones will work on a 08 c300? Not that i doubt you but I just want to be 100% sure before i install them becuse after that i won't be able to return them. Oh! one last question! This might sound dumb but is there anyway of testing them without instalation?

Thanks again!

Your sensors need to be reset. Go to a local discount tire (I work there we do it for free) if you have any nearby... Or America's tire, depending on where your located. Takes 2-5 minutes tops!

go into the settings in your dash and do a reset. Ive noticed that you need to drive a few hours if you want them to reset naturally. When I switch wheels i drive for a while and try doing resets every 15min and usually they reset 2nd or 3rd try. Some tire shops as posted above have the sensor reset tool, it scans the tpms and grabs the signal, they can also test and make sure they work and are providing a reading

I tried to reset it through the cluster panel but I dont have that option anymore. That option disappear after the "inoperative or no sensor" error. I drove the car today a few times but not for more than 10miles, although I do not know if that's enough.

This is what it does. No reactivating or reset tpms option. The only option i get is "reset to factory settings"

I purschased the same sensors and it is also not working in mine.... when i turn the car one the entire middle circle is red telling me to check tire pressures... checked and all 40psi... i try multiple times to reset and active the tpms but the run flat icon on the right never turns off.... also i never see the display that shows me the actual tire pressures of each tire like the 2010 and 2011 is supposed too...

I bought the exact same sensors and now it says the sensors are inop. Im going to see if discount tire will be able to sync them with the car.

Weird. Never had that problem. My sensors in my new wheels just synced with my car. I had to reset them just this one time though. Have you guys tried resetting the TPMS before turning the car on? Meaning key on, ignition off?

I did do that in the beginning. And reset once while engine was running. But once it shows the tpms as inop you no longer have the option to reset. And it doesnt matter if the engine is off or on.

did any of you guys that bought these sensors write down the actual part # of the sensor? What I mean is not go by what the guy who listed them printed on the ebay ad, but what was actually on the sensor itself? I have 2 xtra sensors home, Im gonna take a pic and the part # for you. They are from my 08C350, they are spares. The same sensors and part #s are in my 2011 and working now never had this issue at all. Im getting the hunch that different cars may have different cluster software and maybe this is the issue. I bought 433mhz off ebay in 2008 for my rims and kept my stocks and they worked then on the 08, and same sensors are on a set I have in rotation and work on my 2011. Somethings gotta be up w this cause some of us have these and work and others' cars dont..........

didn't write anything down...

here is a picture of the ones i purchased taken from the guys ebay listing...

they (appear) to be the same exact as sensors as the ebay listing in the 1st post..

Here is the run down of my problems...

One of the sensors on my new rims was broken and taken completely off by the previous owner. So my car had 3 rims w/ sensor and a rim without. During this time I was able to ATTEPMT to reset my tpms by going threw the console reset via the on board computer.

I bought a new set (siemens-brand) like the above pictured and put 1 in the rim without a sensor and my car still acted as it did above.

Thinking that maybe one of the other 3 sensors was bad I went ahead and had the other 3 NEW sensors installed.

It turns out the 3 sensor that were removed were schraeder brand. Once i turned my car on with the 4 NEW (siemens) sensors I immediately got a RED MDF telling me to check my tire pressures. After driving around for awhile the MDF eventual read - inoperative TPMS - no sensors - once this screen comes up you are no longer able to ATTEMPT to reset the tpms via the on board computer menu.

I went to a local tire shop, NTB- national tire battery. They used a scanner to try to see if the sensor where putting out a signal and he was not able to get a reading with the scanner set to C class 2010-2011. After telling him that it was a 433mhz he was finally able to get a signal reading from each of my sensor but he said that the signal came back registering to an older model e class (he didn't give me the year)

Called 2 different dealers - #1 said that the new ones would need to be calibrated and #2 said that i would need to put schraeders back in my car.

I might just end up purchasing a single schraeder and re-installing the old sensor.

If you read the ebay posting, it lists the compatible vehicle models as CL / CLS (433 MHz) / E Class / G / GL / M / R / S / SL / SLR, and then states that it fits CL 07-09 / CLS 06-07 (433 MHz) / E Class 06-07, 09-10 / G 2006 / GL 06-09 / M 10 / R 10 / S 09-10 / SL 10 / SLR 08-09. Guess not all 433MHZ sensors are the same.

The strange thing is that apparently it works for some users in the forum.
