C300 Warranty Problem

I have a 2008 C300 and recently my car has been to the dealership twice in the past week. Most recently my passenger door lock is no longer working. The door will not lock unless done manually. I was told that my Warranty no longer covers the door. Is this correct?

When I purchased the car it had 15k miles. It was a CPO and I also elected to get the ELW coverage up to 120,000mi. Which means I should have coverage intil 2015. Any information would be helpful. Because the dealer is trying to charge me $500 parts and labor.

Thanks!

That shouldn't be -- but they also won't cover things on my extended warranty that I would think should be covered.

In short - I'm just not buying the extended warranty again on any vehicle - the 4 yr/50k it comes with is sufficient.

So, the warranty contract specifically excludes this repair?

Everything that is covered certainly must be spelled out as are components that are not.

What about the steering lock which we have heard so much about lately?
