burger's c250 intake

burger's intake just showed up

not much to say .. it's a K&N cone with a nice tube and mounting bracket

can you make the same with your own 5 dollar intake pipe from pepboys and a cone filter? of course.. but probably will not look or fit as nice

will install later and make a video of sound etc..

edit: sound clip View My Video

No heat shield? I think your performance would go down because you'd just be taking in the warm air around the engine bay without a heat shield.

Why would you put a heat shield on a short ram thats in a box already? The Box is the heat sheild

well when it's installed only half the box remains.. the bottom half which is connected to the cold air snorkel.. the top half is left open but i believe when the hood is closed it acts as a heat shield and most of the air will be sucked in from the snorkel side

Nice looking product. Whatever the HP gain. The looks and sound is enough to buy one. Bravo.

sounds great.. very deep even at half throttle..

best part is the bov sound when letting go the gas.. it's not a true bov but it sounds just like it.. if you've ever driven a turbo car with an intake but no bov you know exactly what i'm talking about.. the sound of boost getting dumped out from the intake.. psssst

actually sounds just like my evo when i first got it and put an aem intake on..

Glad you're enjoying the intake! Actually, there is no off the shelf pipe that fits, so we had to CNC design our own pipe and bracket system.

So when are we going to get the wastegate, tune and intake as a package? Looking for numbers.

This is how some FD intakes started, and they quicky found intake air was hotter than expected, and added extra box height and foam at the top, to seal against the hood.

I''ll stick with the stock air intake and paper filter. Not worth it IMP for more intake noise... would love to here what you guys at burger got up your sleeves, as far as the wastegate is concerned btw.
