Question How much of a Factor is PREMATURE Tire Wear with H&R SUPER SPORTS on OEM Wheels??

Getting springs installed this weekend, those of the H&R Super Sport Variety.

Last concern is, do I need to get a cambering kit or something to avoid premature tire wear?

Has anybody that put on Super Sport springs with the OEM 18" AMG wheels, noticed that your tires wear faster than normal because of newly created cambering issues?

Is the difference in wear negligible (hopefully)?

If not, what have people done to remedy this?

I know there is a camber kit in development... But I have not yet heard to much about it...

Thanks in advance for any insight

Nothing to worry about with H&R Super Sports with stock wheels

All you need is an alignment after you driven your car for at least a 100 miles just to give your springs at least some time to settle. All you need to do is get the toe adjusted back to stock specs.

Zero, What did the F & R camber change to with the super drop springs? What was the before camber?

Did you reset both F & R toe?

Thanx

When I dumped my car on coils and took it for alignment the tech said everything was still within spec. You don't touch any adjustments when installing springs or coils other than camber which isn't adjustable without a kit anyway. The negative camber is part of the stance anyway so correcting it would make the stance look weak. Camber doesn't eat tires, tow does. Been running dumped and cambered cars for 5 years and never wore a tire quicker.

I don't have my alignment sheet with me anymore but the shop was able to return everything back into factory spec with no problem. It hasn't changed significantly even after installing Super Sports.

A little bit of camber is fine. The car will go into negative camber once you lowered it. Most people run a rear camber kit if they are dropped aggressively and are running aggressive wheel fitments/offsets.

But with Super sport Springs a regular alignment should be fine

C300 on H&R SS

It's the toe issue most people have. Careful who you have align the car. Dealer is the best bet. The rear can be a pain, I had 2 shops give up on it.. totally screwing up the toe and the way the car drove... But.. you should be able to get everything in but camber. I have ss springs and 5mm spacers in the rear and the car finally drives as it did raised after dealer aligned it.
