Hey guys , I have more than a few rock paint chips on the front hood/fender/grille area and front bumper, looking for something cheap to fix those! I tried touch up paint but it looks ugly up close because the color contrast is different. I've went to a body shop and they just quoted me around $600.00 just for the hood! Is that over pricing? any suggestions on what would be best would help, tried search bar but couldn't come up with anything. BTW, the color is jet black.

where are you at? here in NJ u could get the fenders/hood/bumper shot for like 1000 if it needs minimal body work. Ive had good success w colored wax, theres some places u can get color match or decently close. 600 for the hood is crazy, thats the "this guy has a benz" price. The best way to do touchups is with a horsetail brush and u only do the guys of the chips, u cant get paint onto the finish paint. Its tricky u need a tiny tip brush. Its basically to get rid of the white or FRP color of the sheetmetal or plastic part, not to make it look painted again. Its a 5 foot and beyond fix
