Radio button stopped illuminating (Sporadically.)

Radio button stopped illuminating (Sporadically.)

Obviously only noticeable at night, If I hit a hard enough bump, the radio just goes blank. Everything else still works, command screen, sound, controls, etc. It just becomes impossible to see until I give it a good knock with a knuckle or something, then the lights come back on. Anyone experience this or know what to make of it? Warranty JUST expired and I've already been told (as the English would say) to Sod off when I went in for another issue 2 days after the warranty apparently expired.

If your warranty just expired they are still likely to sort it out as a gesture of good will if they dont give Merc customer services a call they will sort it out with the dealers

I did contact them first thing. Because this is my first Merc (5th month of ownership) and I've never had service before, I don't have "Loyalty" so they basically told me to go fluck myself I fell. How is one supposed to build loyalty when treated as such from the get-go? I got no answer to that except sorry.
I'm glad I have the know how to replace most components and mechanical parts myself once I know what the problem is. This left me with a bad taste for Mercedes. My next car will surely be another BMW. At least They treated me as a respected customer from day 1.
I enjoy the cars, hate the companies.
