Officially hate MB

Ive posted about this before and now I'm fed up. Bought a brand new 2012 C250 in December and I've been in and out of their shop 6 seperate times now. This is ridiculous!! I've been having a loud squeek from the rear driver side wheel and it seems like everytime I take it to get it fixed, all they do is slap in some lube and send me back on my way. I've seen threads where they posted about the same problem and the conclusion was that the "stator" clips?? Were causing the problem. I've showed the thread to my service advisor and still no solution. They supposedly replaced the entire E-brake setup in the back but that didn't work either.
Anyone have any insight on this? I'm sick of going to the dealership anymore. Can I settle this legally? Lemon??
Help please!!

So because of a squeak you hate MB? Have you ever thought that maybe its just your local MB dealer that is being a douche! Maybe you should try a different location if you haven't yet!

Yes. Because of a squeak. On a brand new Mercedes. Not a 15 year old Honda. You don't understand the embarrasment when I go to hotels. I live in Vegas and often frequent the strip. There is another dealership 40 minutes away and I really don't want to waste my time and gas for something that my dealship cant or refuses to fix. But maybe your right. I'll visit the other dealer when I have time.

Isn't it embarrassing enough to drive a low end mb in Vegas already? Then again E class is for taxi drivers in Europe

I don't get it. Don't you, along with everyone else in this section drive a "low end MB?"

I agree, take it to another dealership and KINDLY explain the issue and all you have been through. Demonstrate the problem and let them see all the repair receipts. Also call MB CS and explain it again to them. Keep track of everything... keep precise records of all the repair attempts, & keep all receipts making sure the issue and why your car was serviced is clearly explained in writing (some dealers do not explain the issue, and these receipts are worthless. If that is the case, go back and demand another copy where the problem and their corrective action is clearly explained). Keep a log of all names, dates, phone calls (to and from) etc etc. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction within a reasonable period (30-90 days in most States), call your local Consumer Protection Agencies, the BBB, 7 On Your Side, etc etc. File letters of complaint with all the above and with Mercedes directly. (Their address is in your Owners Manual) Good luck!

PS: If it is the trim clips, one or two things could be the cause. #1) The trim was removed at the port for some unknown reason and either bent or not reinstalled properly. #2) The car is over flexing on that side which requires further inspection.

Cars are cars, they all break. The difference is service. DO they give you a nice MB loaner? Do they treat you well? Do they kiss your ***? Mine does.

That's why I moved from VW to MB instead of Audi. Half the value of owning a lux brand is the customer experience when something goes wrong, which it always will

and this is my first "Luxury" vehicle other than the old Lexus GS300 before. and that was a '98 model and it didnt give me as much problems as this now. and yes it is "embarrasing" to drive a c class like everyone else on this forum. jerk.... but i happened to like the new 1.8 turbo so go suck a tip.
ill be going to the other dealership in town next week. hopefully they can figure something out.

yep your local MB dealership is a douche!

I thought the only problem is the squeak, something else wrong?

To me the C class is hardly a luxury car! But in US MB is know as obly a luxury car maker, where in the rest of the world MB is another car manufactorer that also makes luxury cars!

It's a luxury brand, and the C and SLR owners are supposed to be treated the same. They offered a free service, which is nice. If you feel you're not getting what you deserve, talk to the Svc Mgr in a polite way. It's their job to make you happy. If that doesn't work, you can always call MBUSA in NJ and I'm sure they'll take care of you.

If it makes you feel any better I took my black series in for the 40k B service last week and drove off in a Hyundai loaner.

uh? I was in a car rental place in Amsterdam renting a car. I saw some guy getting a A6L for rental and he complained about getting a poor man's car.

A6 is in competition with E350. Just saying.

Well your opinion is wrong, In the rest of the world they are considered Luxury Sedans, take for instance Germany the power of Europe where salary's and PPP are about 10k lower per capita, but the C Class is 10 to 15k more than the US. The average car here is a Fiat or a VW Golf base trim spread with a liberal amount of Opels and all the other french auto makers. In Italy owning any Mercedes gives you big baller status right away. I can go on and on any mercedes above the A & B Class is a luxury sedan.

Hmmmm, the exception not the rule, the Dutch have no room to talk as there salaries have taken a huge hit. The Average Dutch person has a bike and does not even have a car or even a drivers Lic. You guys vision of Europeans having tons of Money is Laughable, the on Average make about 10k to 20k less than the average citizen. Im upper class in Europe and dont even break 6,000 euro a month.

No reason to argue here. You need to actually go to Europe and see for yourself rather than looking at numbers. Seriously... Benz is a luxury brand but C class is not a luxury sedan you can say it's a expensive sedan but certainly not luxury. Like tasho3 is saying, in the USA there aren't many luxury brands to compare with that's when C-class become an illumination of luxury.
