Help! Facelift Rear on 2007 model

Hi everyone,

I have a chance to purchase a facelift rear bumper and the new OEM LED rear lights at a bargain price £400. The bumper is already the same colour so no need to respray. (save a bit of cash)

Is there any difficulties installing these mods? How are the fittings? is the LED plug and play? or do I need resisters as the voltage is different?

As I have quad exhaust set up on my w204, do I just buy a new rear c63 diffuser?

Any help appreciated.

Don't have much time so please reply asap.

Thank you all very much.

Dee

I don't have any concrete proof, but I am confident when I say the 2012 bumper will fit onto a pre-facelift car. I see no aesthetic difference that would affect the mounting points and no reason for Mercedes to change the mounting points.

Yes you will need a new diffuser and I do think the 2012 C63 diffuser would work for your quad tips.

As far as the lights, yes, you do need reprogramming. If you have a 2008 or 2009 car, you can have the SAM reprogramed to make it look just like the 2012:

Recently a member on here has found a way to get the lights to work properly with a custom modification, but there has been much debate on it not being the right way, as you can see here, I guess as of now its the only way to get the lights to work with no error messages on 2010 and 2011 cars:
