On my 08 C300 my headlights are both a little dull, one of them especially which I bought used (c63 lights), and it was polished and looks a little dull in direct sunlight. I was thinking of buying clear laminx and putting it over them to protect them in the future and make them look like they have a new finish.

Do you think they will actually make the headlights shiner and newer looking?

I would not do that as that would be a "bandaid" attempt to fix it, and no, lamin-x over the lens would not sort the problem out. Just posted today and I can vouche for this headlight restoration kit. Very cheap, simple, and effective.

Okay, that's good to know, 3m definitely makes reliable products. My headlight isn't really clouded or dull yet, just one is a bit microscratched and the other has some very small rock chips. I'm still thinking it's a bit early to do a full restoration and a clear lamin x may shine it up and protect it. Did you use the 3m kit on your c300? Do you think it would go as far as removing small rock chips/dimples?

You will def have to remove material to cover the depth of a chip but it can be done. Yes, i used this kit personally.
