Car Hot/Warm

Hi Guys,

I have a new 2012 C250 and I noticed after I park it in my garage and check back in 2-3hours the car's hood/engine still feels pretty warm/hot. Is this normal? I checked the coolant and everything seems fine.

Thanks,

Thanks,
It's normal for the car's engine temperature to increase after it is stopped. Doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

Regards,
Don

I believe you should get a warning message on your dash cluster if the coolant is low

yes, the heat pours off mine in these hot days, when I garage it, for hours after I park.

Thanks,
It's absolutely normal.

On cold days after driving in, I raise the hood to warm up the garage a bit and replace the heat lost when the door is open.

I think I could cook bacon & eggs on mine, especially since 104+ degrees outside!
