2003 C200 Kompressor sports coupe
C200 Kompressor sports coupe
Hello help reqd

2003 -- 44000 miles on clock

timing chain slipped - no compression.
Obviously bent valves + ?

What failures can cause this ? other than failed chain/tensioner.
The crank shaft position sensors connections are clean, so its not that problem.

There are some notes on the soft gear on the balance shaft, but cannot find this referenced to my engine M271

Any comments appreciated

Timing Chain?
Does the C200 Kompressor (CL203) have a belt or chain? What interval is it changed?

It runs a timing chain mate. There is no specified change interval - kind of like the tranny services. I would do it at 150,000km though

the CLC has no link with the W204, its a minor updated W203
