Does the inside of your W204 smell like a crayon?

Mine doesn't, but it's previous owner was a smoker and the interior was pretty extensively cleaned, once by the dealership and once more by me.. Mother has a 2011 model though, and it does indeed smell like crayons. I'll admit.. I kind of don't mind that smell

I have been reading a lot of sites about crayon smell, including forums on MB, Bimmer, VW some people also mentioned Volvo and Saab, ever since I bought my S204 MY2008 6 months ago. There's no solution whatsover, and quite a few people are not annoyed by it, some people seems to like the smell and there are a lot that appear not understanding what these complainers are about. I am writing here, hoping to narrow down and collect information to confirm one thing, this smell is annoying in particular, the W/S204 is exposed in a humid and hot environment (8-35 degrees celsius, up to 100% humidity). I also hoped to get interested people together to explore on how to get it resolved in a proper amateur way.
I know many of you came from cooler and dryer areas, but I remembered one post from the same hot and humid Panama wanted to sell his/her car because of this.
Out of the sites I went through, I have only bookmarked one from Taiwan in the Chinese language, it illustrates what "hparth" described earlier on this post, here you go, http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=303&t=3844170
If anyone is interested, I can translate it with the consent of the writer. However, the writer replaced the foam with yoga mat, I hope to have the original parts replaced, please do post the price and don't forget letting us know your currency.
By the way, mine is a right hand drive in grey leather. Cheers.

I purchased a 2005 Mercedes clk 320 Convertible with a strong crayon smell. I finally pulled up the carpet on the driver and passenger side and found the source of the odor to be the foam pads underneath the carpet. They are molded foam that fits into the indentation on the floor. I cut off the molded foam, sprayed the remaining backing with kilz. I had to cut and put styrofoam in these indentations in the floorboards to maintain some backing under the carpet. On the passenger side. I have ordered new molded carpet for the drivers side from Benz. After removing this foam backing the smell was reduced by about90 percent and it is now tolerable. I am sure the the rear seat carpet also has this foam but I have not pulled the back seat yet
I was wondering if you got the new liner that you ordered. I have heard that new liner smells too. Also how did you remove the foam(cut it out). Doesn't the foam hold the carpet's shape. How you got access to the driver side liner(carpet) to cut the foam. Is it the foam that smells or is the glue they used to glue it to the carpet. Any other advise appreciated. Thanks

You said that you used meguiars car deodorizer bombs, however Meguiars does not have bombs. May was a different product? Does the smell come back or you have to use the bomb again. Thanks

I have a bit of the smell but it is rarely noticeable. Last week, after sitting unused for a couple of weeks, there was a strong crayon smell at first. After a few minutes of cruising with the windows down, the smell disappeared and hasn't come back.
