service B before or after 1,400 mile trip?
I just returned from Boston, Mass - 300 miles each way, nice easy trip (wife in the car) 70-80mph cruise there and back.
I have service B due in 1,800 miles.
Heading to Charleston, SC in a week, 700 miles each way, solo trip so much more aggressive driving, I made it there in less than 10 hours last time I went down alone, spirited driving averaging at about 80mph with bursts up to 100 here and there and back down to 80ish all the way.
Question - what is recommended, get the service prior to the trip so it is fresh, or drive it hard as planned and then get the service so the fresh oil doesn't take a beating the first 1,400 miles of its life and the car is fresh? No trips planned for at least 9 months after I return...
