Question 17'' to 19''

Going from 17'' to 19'' the car will be higher?

The measures are from AMG catalogue:

17'' 225/45 front & 245/40 rear

to

19'' 235/35 front & 255/30 rear

If so, how much higher the car will be? Do I need to lower it to have the same height as with 17''?

thnks in advance

From factory with 19"? The wheel itself height? Or the car height?

The overall height difference (diameter) from the 17" combo you listed v/s the 19" combo is 0.5 inches. For all practical purposes, it will be the exact height as stock. Basically you have more rim and a little less tire sidewall to achieve the same overall height.

The ride quality will suffer though.

But the car will be 0.5 inches higher with the 19''?

...and the car will be slower, use more gas, and take a longer distance to stop, although some view the differences as small. On the other hand, the lower profile tire will provide a quicker-feeling steering response.
