Can I swap a non MM radio?

My 2009 c300 Aux function barley works. Been to two different dealers they claim its up to date and thats just how it is. My mom has a 2011 (same car) with the beige interior (radio is a brownish color) her Aux menu has the "boost" function. Anyway I can swap these out? I obviously need the fronts to be swapped to because i have black interior. please help!!

If by "barely works" you mean the volume is low (based on your mentioning the boost function on your mother's radio), Mercedes makes an in-line amplifier for the auxiliary input that boosts the volume level to something comparable to the CD/radio/sat modes. I don't recall the part number, but I paid $70 at the dealer for mine and it took about 10 minutes to install. This is a common problem.

There's a thread on here with the part number and very detailed instructions on the process. Hopefully someone will chime in...
